Key CA highlights at the show include going public with major regional customer successes, and hosting a record number of regional and global partners at its extended stand (G9-1) in the Sheikh Rashid Hall of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The company's official hardware supplier for its stand this year is DTK Computer. CA will also be the headline sponsor of the Arab Technology Awards on Sunday, November 19th, with a special video address by CA CEO John Swainson and a live address by Gilbert Lacroix, Vice President and Area Manager of CA's EMEA Eastern Markets.
Commenting on CA's participation, Ned Jaroudi, CA's Dubai-based Vice President of Area Marketing for EMEA Eastern Markets said,
"GITEX 2006 is a particularly significant event for us as we celebrate two major milestones with our key customers and partners. We are also pleased to share with them our new Enterprise IT Management (EITM) vision for unifying and simplifying complex IT environments in a secure manner."
Through the EITM approach, businesses can manage and secure their entire IT environment — including users, assets, and services. IT services then can be better managed to meet the specific needs of the business. Under EITM, CA's solutions help customers improve service, manage business risks and costs as well as align IT investments to business objectives.
CA will also offer a free Storage Risk Assessment to GITEX participants who pre-register on the CA website ca.com/arabworld/gitex2006. The assessment helps organizations evaluate their risk level around data protection and information management, and allows them to compare themselves with their peers or competitors in the same industry across the Middle East and worldwide. A detailed analysis report will then be personally shared with the participants after the show.
