i2 the largest and most diverse mobile provider in the Middle East and Africa launched the first 24 hour television station in the world dedicated to mobile technology for mobile users across the region.

i2 decided to its one of a kind customer touch point as part of its customer focused expansion plan.

i2 TV airs today on Nile Sat 103 and is accessible by all mobile users in the Middle East. "i2 TV is the first television station in the world that is dedicated completely to mobile telecommunication and technology. We have state of the art production equipment, making us the first TV station in the region to run without the use of tapes" stated Izzat Kittaneh, Managing Director of i2 TV.

Positioned as an Arabic "infotainment" channel, i2 TV will give mobile users access to the latest information for all their mobile needs. i2 TV provides viewers with short tutorials on the latest products with the option of accessing them on demand through the station's website (www.i2-mobile.tv). Furthermore, television shopping is made available every 10 minutes with delivery services to anywhere in the Middle East. Several agreements (LOA) have been made with handset manufacturers such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola to ensure that viewers get the latest information on their favorite brands.

The station promises to provide a creative mix of programs to cater to an audience with varied telecom needs and technological know how. Programming includes a combination of live and pre-recorded programs such as hourly news bulletins, price comparisons of mobile phones and accessories across the region, 24 hour news strips, game shows and offers.

"i2 TV is our newest customer touch point launched to educate consumers on the benefits of their mobile phones and attend to their needs in a way never done before" stated Abdul Hameed Al Sunaid, President and CEO of i2. He added that the TV station will not only be useful to the end-users but also to suppliers and retailers.
