The Balanced Scorecard provides feedback on internal business processes and external outcomes in order to continuously improve strategic performance and results. Upon implementation, companies are able to link current actions to strategic goals.

Mohammed Jasim, CEO of DIHRD said: "Traditional methods, which measure only the financial aspects of a company's activity, have been proven insufficient by many companies. Today more than 80% of the company's market value amounts to non-material aspects and intellectual capital such as human resources, processes, and brands."

The Balanced Scorecard attitude identifies the four main perspectives which a company, based on its vision and strategy, uses to set goals and metrics for realization. As a result, its business strategy is implemented in all key spheres of company management.

As the author of the Balanced Scorecard concept, Kaplan will speak about making business strategy measurable and connecting it to operational enforcement on all company levels.

Conference participants will be informed how to translate strategy into action and will learn to implement it through demonstration of case studies.

The concluding round table including government officials and CEOs from leading companies in the UAE and the region will focus on using Balanced Scorecard in their business strategies.

Ranked among the Top 25 Business Thinkers by the Financial Times, Kaplan has contributed significantly to the art and science of business strategy. He has helped business leaders clarify their corporate vision and align people, business units, and resources with a unified strategy.

The Robert Kaplan Conference is being organized by Dubai Institute of Human Resource Development, which aims to provide the business community with invaluable learning experiences and networking opportunities.
