The announcement was made during SonicWALL's participation at GITEX Dubai 2006 where the company showcased its latest offerings focusing on the TZ-190 appliance and SSL VPN technologies.

said Shahnawaz Sheikh, Regional Sales Manager, MENA at SonicWALL. "Over the next 14 months, we expect to see more business coming in from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where we are bolstering our resources and in Egypt where we are working on building a string channel."
SonicWALL has been expanding and strengthening its distribution and channel network across the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region by appointing Redington Gulf as the distributor of its entire range of products and Almasa IT Distribution to cover the distribution of SonicWALL's E-mail Security and Content Security Management solutions.
SonicWALL had established a representative office in May 2004, located in the Dubai Internet City (DIC), and responsible for managing SonicWALL's operations, sales and marketing activities in the Middle East region, which includes the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jordan and Lebanon in the Levant, Egypt in North Africa, Turkey, India and Pakistan.
