Intense activity underway as GITEX and GULFCOMMS 2006 gets ready to open its doors tomorrow

With less than a one day to go for the 26th edition of GITEX & the inaugural GULFCOMMS, stands and pavilions are receiving final touches at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre with hectic build up activity underway.

All the halls, the concourses and the new Zabeel Hall will be used for the event. As the leading event in the region, the show has generated tremendous interest in the ICT industry over the years.

GITEX & GULFCOMMS 2006 have expanded by a robust 33% in space and will welcome a total of 1,347 exhibitors from 76 countries. The event will run from 18 - 22 November 2006.

GITEX with its new telecoms positioning of GULFCOMMS 2006 is expected to offer sizeable business opportunities to the ICT and telecoms industry with significant worldwide developments in the industry during the past year.

TRAFFIC INFO:
In order to ensure smooth traffic flow around the DICEC, DWTC will be running a shuttle service to and from 34 hotels across the city as well as the Dubai Internet City and prominent shopping malls. These services will ply in the DICEC in the morning and afternoon and will depart from the DICEC back to these hotels in the evening. This will complement the services by Dubai Transport Corporation's fleet of taxis. Paid and free parking is available at DICEC and shuttle buses will ply between the car parks and exhibition halls.
