Al Farida Investment Co and Standard Chartered Bank conclude new credit arrangement

Al Farida Investment Co and Standard Chartered have closed an 8 year Bi-lateral Structured Trade Facility of USD 75 million that will be used to finance continued ongoing investment and growth in the coming year.

In terms of the agreement, Standard Chartered, acting as agent and lender, will extend credit facilities valued at USD75 million to the Investment Company. The loan is repayable over a period of eight years.

Al Farida Investment Co. LLC is an Abu Dhabi based investment company. The company is engaged in the business of investment in real estate, hotel, malls and financial instruments. Al Farida is currently embarking on implementing a growth plan in the UAE building three new hotels, a mall, residential and commercial properties. Sheikh Hamed Bin Ahmed Al Hamed, the Managing Director, said: "Al Farida is very pleased to have completed this qualitative transaction with Standard Chartered. It intends to use such financing structures in the future to finance its growth plans".
