Dubai Municipality teams up with Photint Venture Group for two innovative projects
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, November 19 - 2006 at 13:43
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Municipality has joined hands with 360 degree video technology providers, Photint Venture Group to introduce two innovative public-private undertakings.
Oyoon is positioned to be the Middle East's first multi-format, multi-lingual image bank. To be included among its many stunning sights and stories, are rare black & white images of the past, a contemporary look at the present and impressive artistic renditions of the rapidly rising New Dubai.
Oyoon is made possible via the archive libraries of the government and access to present and future infrastructure developments. The highlight will be the use of break-through proprietary Photint 360 degree videos- truly a first for Dubai. Work is currently underway on the restoration and categorisation of the government image archives. The website is scheduled to launch, with a critical mass of images, early next year.
Another first for Dubai Municipality and Photint, is the introduction of banner advertising on the Municipality portal and its growing list of subsidiary websites, including Childrens City, Used Cars Complex and Dubai Coast.
Dubai Municipality has recently attained a key milestone with 90 per cent of all services now available online, which translates to high traffic volumes. They have also been the recipients of the acclaimed Pan Arab Web awards recognising the international standards of their websites.
The goal is to establish an effective banner ad system, both industry standard as well as a unique 360 proposition that can only be offered by Photint proprietary software and technologies, to provide visual information and rich content for internet use and across a range of additional interactive media. The alliance is named ADubai and is positioned to take advertising bookings from January 2007.
Oyoon and ADubai are powered by the city's largest civic body and driven by the inventors of the world's first full motion 360 degree video technology.
