The forum was organised to bring together senior level supply chain and logistics executives with a select group of leading technology providers. The meetings and sessions integrated within the Summit converged over Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations in general and their application in the electronics industry.

Mike Lee, SCLG President, participated as a key speaker in the session to discuss the role SCM plays in outsourcing high-tech and electronics products. Addressing the forum, Lee said:

"The high-tech and electronics sector is currently categorised as one of the fastest growing industries globally. Our presence here has enabled us to share our UAE SCM model with other industry professionals while also benefit from their expertise."

In today's competitive business environment, high-tech companies are under pressure to provide innovative products in shorter time cycles, at reduced cost, and with improved quality. The electronics industry is driven by demands for products that are smaller, lighter, cheaper, and better than the ones they replace. In order to meet market requirements, SCLG has been actively involved in promoting the latest SCM operations through organising working group sessions to address these operational challenges.

"SCM not only offers a cornucopia of benefits but it's quickly becoming a must-have for companies in need of boosting their local or cross-border product trade, our role at SCLG is to guide these parties to enhance their offerings," Lee added.

SCLG's participation in the event comes as part of the group efforts to expand internationally and promote its agenda to the relevant industry decision makers.
