Speech recognition comes of age in the Middle East

Participating for the first time at GITEX with Emerging Technologies in the Sheikh Rashid Hall (Stand #914), Nuance and Emerging will provide several 'live' demonstrations using currently deployed solutions at customer establishments in the Middle East at Dubai and Abu Dhabi Financial Markets, Dubai Airport, Emirates Securities and Etisalat, amongst others. The demos would include stock inquiries, flight schedule, stock trading and e-mail reader application.

Nuance will also showcase its extensive product and solution portfolio comprising Speech solutions, including Contact Center, Telecom, Directory Services, Mobile and Automotive; Dictaphone Healthcare solutions for Hospitals, Clinics, Physician practices and MTSOs (Medical Transcription Service Organizations); Scansoft Imaging Solutions and the Dragon suite of products such the award-wining Dragon NaturallySpeaking bundled with a wireless headset or a digital recorder.
