This futuristic approach to cable TV entertainment reduces deployment time for reaching new areas as IPTV uses existing copper cables already located within many residences. The new network technology is fully enabled to provide the flexibility required to satisfy our customers' demand for quality entertainment.
Humaid Rashid Sahoo, Chief Executive Officer at E-Vision, said:
"This technology, which currently being deployed by advanced network operators all over the world, is expected to increase the reach of video signal to the same level of coverage as the a broadband IP network, thus providing more customers with the convenience of IPTV services. The commercial roll out of this technology is concluded and customers can now enjoy the benefits of IPTV at any time they desire."
The IP-based system enjoys a higher level of flexibility. Consumers can easily switch between Pay-TV providers without the need to replace or reconfigure set-top boxes. It also provides capability to deploy many new user applications, which are developed specifically for IP network environments. This advantage paves the way for many innovative and interactive applications such as program guides, converged services, and on-demand services that can be more readily developed and launched.
E-Vision is ensuring that content protection is guaranteed at the same level as on the cable TV network. Protection features are enabled on IP set-top boxes which provide high levels of security for content providers and customers.
Humaid Rashid Sahoo concluded: "This initiative, taken by E-Vision, reflects our drive to offer our unique services that go hand in hand with the latest technologies. E-Vision is committed to continue investing in the latest technologies for the benefit of all customers."
