Jafza launches interactive online services on Dubai trade portal

The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) announced on Monday that it has linked its online customer services to the newly-launched Dubai Trade portal, which groups several flagship companies of Dubai World.

Jafza, which is home to some 5,500 companies and tens of thousands of their employees, is promoting its services, ranging from processing visas to residency permits and license renewals to operational fitness certificates for factories, in GITEX 2006 where it is participating under the banner of Dubai World.

Salma Hareb, CEO, Jafza and Economic Zone World, who visited today the Dubai World stand at GITEX, said:' Although we already provide online services, placing the facilities on a business portal like Dubai Trade, will help our customers interact with us with greater ease. Dubai Trade is an extremely versatile portal and Jafza is proud to be a part of it along with our other sister companies in Dubai World.'

Jafza offers several online services for its clients facilitating the renewal process of the trade, industrial and service licenses of the companies working in Jebel Ali free zone, renewal of land, office, warehouse leases, in addition to enabling companies to renew their operation fitness certificates from Environment, Health and Safety, as well as changing their names, license activity, address in the license all online.

Dubai Trade, launched on Sunday at the Dubai World stall in GITEX 2006 by group Chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, is an innovative portal that combines all electronic services provided by Jafza, DP World, Dubai Customs and the Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC).
