etisalat's Weyak signs content agreement with UK-based Filmnight

The company will offer accessibility to rich content including movies, music and games on Mobile and Web.

The agreement will enable Weyak customers to stream and download high quality movie clips, music videos, audio downloads, ringtones, wallpapers and games via their mobile alongside options to submit personal mini reviews and the capacity to access local cinema film times. "This deal will allow us to reach more market segments and will enable us to establish ourselves as a top source of entertainment information," said Essa Al Haddad, Chief Marketing Officer, etisalat.

The Filmnight services available on the Weyak portal are the first step in this strategic partnership and will ensure the Weyak brand remains at the forefront of cutting-edge content both on Mobile and on Web.

The agreement has been activated on mobile and is already experiencing great demand and traffic. "Our reports show that our mobile users are downloading several items per day. In the following phase, the web section will be launched shortly and we anticipate a lot of interest from our local as well as regional web users," added Al Haddad.
