Thanks to an Arabic add-on, you will also be able to process all your Arabic and Farsi documents.

Today's public organizations and companies need to convert all their paper information in editable/searchable electronic documents in order to efficiently manage and share their knowledge and to be more productive. IRISPdf 5 Server for eCopy ShareScan OP will help them to efficiently scan and convert all their documents.

This product is the perfect bridge between ShareScan OP, the document imaging and distribution software from eCopy, and IRISPdf, the most advanced production OCR solution on the market. This new dedicated version of IRISPdf allows to convert volumes of scanned documents into electronic data and to supply any document management system with the appropriate file format and size.

The software I.R.I.S. introduces today considerably extends the possibilities of document scanning. The product eCopy wanted to bring onto the market had to be generic enough to address a very wide range of users. The eCopy Sharescan OP responds very well to this requirement, as it is very clear and easy to use. It sets a competitive standard for simple, secure, and cost effective electronic distribution and integration of paper-based information.

However, to address more specific needs expressed by some companies, IRISPdf is a very useful and powerful complement to eCopy's product. Digital copiers equipped with eCopy ShareScan OP and IRISPdf Server enable users to capture and convert all image files into searchable and/or editable documents with the format of their choice (fully searchable PDF, highly compressed PDF, RTF, WordML, XML files, etc.).

One of the greatest advantages of this combination is that it allows you to make a clear separation of the documents into different batches thanks to the barcode recognition technology from I.R.I.S. and the white page detection.

The barcode can also be used to rename the exported file. Document renaming is also possible using the first sentence of the text or encoding the name you wish to give your documents before you start scanning them, directly from the eCopy ShareScan OP interface.

Companies will also benefit from the great language support of IRISPdf: more than 120 languages including Hebrew, 4 Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese) and Arabic! This is a very useful specificity of the I.R.I.S. production OCR solution for organizations active on international level.

Bertrand Fontaine, I.R.I.S. Sales Director, argues: 'We believe that the numerous features of IRISPdf will convince the eCopy ShareScan OP users of the utility to install this complement based on I.R.I.S.' 20 years experience on document recognition and processing. Indeed, IRISPdf will deskew and detect the orientation of the scanned documents (which will give a better screen visualization and enable a better OCR), the JPEG2000 dramatically reduces the output file size of fully-searchable PDF without loosing the quality of the image, etc.'
