The Pocket LOOX T830 provides integrated global positioning system (GPS) and its incorporated Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition and UMTS technology allows users to access e-mails, appointment calendar and other office applications anytime and anywhere.
"With the Pocket LOOX T830, we have developed a single multi-functional product that practically replaces the mobile phone, navigation system and portable PCs," said Sascha Haake, Director, SME and Channels Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. "This three-in-one pocket-sized office handheld eliminates the need for separate devices and is a highly valued addition to the company's mobile portfolio."
With a standard QWERTY keyboard and high-definition TFT display, the Pocket LOOX T830 has two cameras - a Video Graphics Array camera for video-conferencing and a two mega-pixel camera with auto focus. The Pocket LOOX T830 also delivers secure device management and VoIP connectivity via integrated WLAN and Bluetooth.
"The Pocket LOOX T830 reflects the company's progress in mobile phone technology and will appeal to mobile business executives in the regions as well as increasingly technology-savvy buyers,"
said Haake.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is now established as a key mobility player in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The regional launch of the Pocket LOOX T830 further consolidates the company's handheld market share, which recorded 70 percent growth in 2005.
