Dubai Balloon Festival takes to higher skies with Etisalat's title sponsorship

The Dubai Balloon Festival (DBF) has signed a major sponsorship agreement with Etisalat, making it the title sponsor of the Middle East's first ever balloon festival, which will take to the skies in December this year.

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, the first balloon festival in the Middle East and the largest outside the USA will be held from 20th - 30th December 2006.

The ten-day festival will be the highlight of the Dubai Shopping Festival and the Global Village will form the base camp for the balloons to take off.

The public will be able to enjoy entry to the Dubai Balloon Festival for free.

Initiated by the joint venture of the Al Ahli Group and ETA-ASCON Star; the Dubai Balloon Festival is an initiative of Star Events.

About the Dubai Balloon Festival

The DBF-hosted event will be held at the Global Village over two weekends. The public will be treated to the wonderful sight of gigantic balloons soaring into the blue skies. In addition, the audience will be entertained by concerts, acrobats, games and entertainment for families and youngsters, photo contests, music, food and beverage outlets, and other delightful events. Slated to become an annual event for the future years to come, the DBF will embody an international flavour, with balloons from all across the world.
