Through partnerships with Kalaam Telecom Bahrain and SEDCO Group (Saudi Economic & Development Company), Green Packet will provide telecom operators in the region with a range of new revenue opportunities and customers with a host of cutting edge services.

As part of their first strategic agreement, Green Packet has partnered with Kalaam Telecom Bahrain to provide wireless broadband solutions in the country. Using Green Packet's SONmetro Wireless Broadband System, Kalaam will deliver cost effective and high speed broadband wireless services across a wide geographical area. It will enable Kalaam to provide value added services catering to both corporate and residential customers as well as compete in the highly competitive and open telecom market in the kingdom.

As part of their second agreement, Green Packet partnered with SEDCO Group to organize a joint venture with an initial paid up capital of US$ 5 million. The newly formed company Green Packet Networks WLL, will market and distribute its wireless networking and telecommunication products and solutions, including SONaccess, SONbuddy and SONmetro, to the Middle East markets (including Turkey and Iran) and beyond covering North Africa, Pakistan, and India amongst its target overseas markets.

"Our partnerships with Kalaam and SEDCO Group are important milestones for Green Packet in successfully penetrating the Middle East market. This proves the capabilities of our management team in delivering results and the continued acceptance of our products and technologies,"

said Green Packet's Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Puan Chan Cheong. He added, "Having established ourselves in South-East Asia and North Asia, the Middle East market has always been a part of our strategic initiatives and today we are proud that we are on track".

Commenting on the partnership with Green Packet, Carlos Riera, CEO of Kalaam Telecom said: "We are proud to be the first in Bahrain to provide wireless broadband solutions using advanced technology from Green Packet. This partnership helps our mission to offer innovative offerings and services to our customers at cost effective prices with superior quality & value. Customers now have a choice of operators compared to the current monopoly over important services sectors". With SONmetro's beyond 3G performance, Kalaam Telecom customers can now take advantage of Net Talk, Kalaam's voice over IP service, to make and receive telephone calls over the Internet whilst not compromising on quality.

"SEDCO Group prides itself as a leading private wealth management and investment organization in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. We are a long term investor who looks for opportunities to invest in promising Asian companies and help these businesses penetrate the Middle East markets. In this regard, we are pleased to partner with Green Packet, joining hands to grow the wireless access solutions market in this part of the world," says Yousuf Khayat, Managing Director of SEDCO.

Listed on the Malaysian Exchange of Securities Dealing & Automated Quotations (MESDAQ), Green Packet is the most profitable and has the largest market capitalization of more than USD 460 million amongst companies listed on this technology market as of November 2, 2006. Its key clientele include China Telecom Group, Maxis Communications Bhd, Far EasTone Telecommunications Co Ltd, Chunghwa Telecom Co Ltd, PLDT, Dell, BenQ, NEC and HP.

GPB's mission is to provide a seamless and unified platform for the delivery of user centric multimedia communication and services regardless of the nature and availability of the backbone infrastructure.

GPB's SONbuddy is a software that turns each Wi-Fi device into an intelligent router so that they automatically organize a multi-hop self-healing network without the need for an access point or other wireless infrastructure. All the users within this Self Organizing Network ("SON") can communicate with each other using the built-in applications like VoIP, Instant Messaging, File Exchange and Screen Sharing.

GPB's SONmetro range of products enable the provision of wireless broadband connectivity at GSM type coverage with DSL/Cable data speeds at a cost substantially lower than any other wireless solution. SONmetro is an intelligent relaying system, where the path and method of transmission are not predetermined, but adapted dynamically based on available opportunities.
