Net Group expands business to tap Australia, New Zealand tourism market

Net Group, leading private Destination Management Company in Dubai has announced the appointment of Australia-based Ian Phillips Marketing as the Net Group Representative Office for both Australia and New Zealand with effect from October 2006.

Ian Phillips Marketing represents the hospitality industry, and is a member of the Australian Conference and Events Bureau.

"Representing Net Group in Australia and New Zealand, Ian Phillips Marketing will concentrate on developing MICE business into Dubai and the region. They will also work on leisure programs and set up agreements with agents in both Australia and New Zealand," says David Milican, Group General Manager, Net Group.

Ian Phillips and Anthony Luxton are the pivotal force behind Ian Phillips Marketing. They use a consultative approach to assist clients in areas of sales representation, sponsorship acquisition and evaluation, and business development. Backed by an extensive career in tourism, leisure and hospitality industry, Ian formed his own consultancy - Ian Phillips Marketing in December 2001.

In December 2003, Ian Phillips joined forces with Anthony Luxton to expand and strengthen their capabilities, expertise, and global networks which they can use to deliver successful outcomes for clients in the Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure markets.

Anthony Luxton is a professional tourism/hospitality and leisure executive within the Australian and International markets in both the public and private sectors. He has lived and worked in Japan and conducted business extensively throughout the Asian and Pacific regions including the Middle East, India and China.

In addition to Australia and New Zealand, Dubai-based Net Group has overseas representation in Benelux, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.

Net Group also opened a new branch office in Al Ain during September 2006, in addition to its offices in Abu Dhabi, Oman and Qatar.
