Etisalat and SAVVIS in collaboration agreement

Etisalat, the leading telecom operator in the United Arab Emirates and SAVVIS, a leading provider of IT infrastructure services for business applications, have formalized their collaboration at GULFCOMMS 2006 to offer Global IP VPN services, an agreement which was reached earlier in the year.

"We see the collaboration with Etisalat as an opportunity to further expand our global service offering in a region which is fast becoming a 'hotbed' for advanced IT services. Equally, Etisalat will be able to take advantage of SAVVIS' extensive worldwide footprint to enhance international connections and ensure faster, more cost-effective services to customers in the region," said Richard Warley, Managing Director International of SAVVIS.

"Working with leading international vendors like SAVVIS is key to our business strategy in order to enhance and extend our global reach, and to provide our business customers with worldwide end to end solutions," said Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, Chief Operating Officer, Etisalat.
