Notable advancement in Egyptian banking sector

Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Chairman of Emirates Investment Group and Chairman of Emirates Global Islamic Bank, has recently met with Dr. Hatem Al Qaranshawi, Deputy Governor of the Arab Monetary Fund of Egypt and the Executive Board Member of Central Bank of Egypt to discuss development plans and the advancement of the Egyptian banking sector.

With the mergers and ownership operations that are occurring in the Egyptian banking sector, investors from the GCC are becoming increasingly attracted to shares in Egyptian banks.

Sheikh Al Qassimi praised the progress and growth of the Egyptian economy during the last few years. During the meeting, they shared experiences and exchanged opinions and thoughts on the relationship between Gulf investors and the Egyptian banking sector, and how to strengthen this tie.

They also discussed opportunities for Gulf investors to effectively contribute to the economic projects and the overall development of Egypt's finance systems.

Sheikh Al Qassimi emphasized the necessity of improving the relationship between public and private sectors, as this will accelerate economic growth for both parties.
