- PRESS RELEASE
Jumbo Electronics Co. Ltd. (LLC), the leading player in the consumer electronics industry, has announced its implementation of a tier one Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
According to Mrs. V M Chhabria, Chairperson, Jumbo Group, "Jumbo Electronics stands committed to transform itself into a world-class corporation by adopting best practices that are now found embedded in tier one ERP solutions such as JD Edwards. We are prepared to make this multi-million dollar investment to achieve this objective. I am proud to be associated with our partners in this project who are global leaders in this business. J D Edwards for the ERP software, KPMG as our implementation partners and UCMC for supply and installation of the IBM AS 400 platform will join hands with us for this fast-track, company-wide implementation targeted for completion before our new fiscal year April 2003."
This new ERP system will help integrate all departments and functions across the company onto a single system using a single database. This will result in an easy sharing of information and communication between divisions and will also promote transparency between the company and its business partners. The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite will also allow Jumbo to manage their customer base more effectively.
Mr. Vishesh L Bhatia, COO, Jumbo Electronics Co. Ltd. (LLC), said, "The payback from this ERP-induced integrated approach will lead to enhanced productivity that should translate into healthier profits. It will help facilitate company-wide integrated information systems, perform core corporate activities, improve customer service and augment corporate image. Other benefits expected from the ERP system are improved resource management, reduced overhead costs and an increase in strategic focus."
