e-TQM College was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, for the purpose of encouraging the interest, uptake and application of TQM thinking in the Arab World through innovative, affordable and accessible means. e-TQM College is the first e-learning institute to be licensed in the UAE & Gulf by The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE.
The Commission for Academic accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has on July 1, 2006 officially approved the initial Accreditation of the BA in Business and Quality Management and the MSc in Organizational Excellence offered by the e-TQM College.
Windows Vista introduces a breakthrough user experience and is designed to help users feel confident in their ability to view, find, and organize information and to control their own computing experience. Similarly the 2007 Microsoft Office system helps simplify the challenges of today's workplace and gets more out of the tools used every day, such as Excel, Word and Power point.
'We have put in place a state of the art IT infrastructure for the purpose of integrating, enabling and supporting our core value chain. Ultimately the key cornerstone is our learners therefore we focus on identifying their needs, developing 'fitness for purpose' and satisfying options to them.
'This was mirrored by Microsoft's and specifically that of its latest software for Windows and Office. Innovation, commitment to quality and the empowerment of our staff and learners are the foundation of our core values and this was originated in the software,' said Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Vice President, e-TQM College.
'The decision to deploy Vista and Office 2007 was taken because it was the natural choice to assure the satisfaction of our staff & learners needs.'
This is one in many partnerships in the region that highlights Microsoft's dedication to education, employability and innovation. 'When coupled with the power of technology the potential of young people is unlimited - we need to work together to supply them with the necessary support and tools to reach this,' said Isam Shahwan, Services Executive, Microsoft.
'We are committed to working with Governments, education establishments and partners to make sure we drive this vision. The launch of Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange Server 2007 has provided us with new tools in our arsenal to empower students across the region.'
