Among the major exhibitors at the Fair will be Huaqi Information Digital Technology Company, Beijing Double-Crane Pharmaceutical Company, and Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group.
"The CCFS is China's largest trade event in the Middle East," said Mr. Saif Al Midfa, Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah.
"The 2006 edition of the Fair is going to be more focused with maximum concentration on the machinery, electrical, light industry, textiles and building material sectors," he added.
Mr. Saif Al Midfa further said:
"CCFS is considered to be the only sourcing platform in the Middle East for a wide range of affordable yet high quality Chinese products and services. Besides being a credible sourcing avenue, this year's CCFS will be an ideal platform for Middle East based companies to explore investment potential in China, which is the world's second largest economy."
This year's CCFS will be occupying two exhibition halls for display of over 10,000 products. Given the focused profile of the show this year, it is expected that the visitor turnout will increase by 15-18% compared to the last edition.
The last four editions of the CCFS had attracted over 6,000 representatives from more than 2,800 Chinese enterprises as exhibitors. With regard to visitors, there were more than 100,000 trade visitors from 65 countries, with large numbers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The total value of deals during the last four editions of the show amounted to USD $ 4.6 billion.
The fourth edition of CCFS, which was held at Expo Centre Sharjah in 2005, attracted 48,646 visitors.
The CCFS is an event that is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and organised by Chinamex and Expo Centre Sharjah.
