Bahrain International Property Exhibition 2006 enters second day; receives excellent response

Reflecting strong investor confidence and robust demand for freehold property in the region, Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) announced that the Bahrain International Property Exhibition 2006 (BIPEX 2006) has received an overwhelming response attracting a diversified set of regional investors.

BIPEX 2006 is Bahrain's largest property exhibition held in association with Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Authority (BCEA).

Commenting on the largest property exhibition, Dr. Manaf Hamza, Chairman of the Organizing Committee - BIPEX 2006, said: 'I would firstly like to express my gratitude to H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for his invaluable support towards holding this landmark exhibition. The opening of BIPEX 2006 marks a major milestone not only in Bahrain's real estate sector but also the whole of the GCC region. This year BSE along with BCEA has formalized an agreement with DSL Exhibitions to bring the Worldwide Property Show to Bahrain under the auspices of BIPEX 2006. This initiative would not just ensure the participation of several exhibitors but will help the BIPEX platform emerge as one of the largest property exhibitions in the GCC.'

BIPEX 2006 was officially inaugurated at a high-profile formal ceremony by H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, Kingdom of Bahrain and was attended by various senior dignitaries, VVIPs, government officials, organizers, sponsors, exhibitors, investors and media.

Elaborating on the excellent response the event has received Mr. Mohamed Khalil Alsayed, President, BSE, said: 'As of now, the exhibition has stirred up tremendous enthusiasm among regional and global players with an array of new global and regional exhibitors joining the show. New exhibitors at this year's BIPEX 2006 are from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, UK, South Africa and Malaysia. This response is truly remarkable. Furthermore, from a broader perspective it will help in the economic diversification by increasing the investment flows into the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.'

Spread over a total area of 5,000 sq. mt., BIPEX 2006 is being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from 22-25 November 2006. It is supported by the Ministry of Industries & Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry and co-organizers for this edition of the exhibition include Kerala Engineers Forum (KEEN 4) and DSL Exhibitions. Key sponsors for the event include Al-Enma'a House, Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH), Riffa Views, Ithmaar Bank, al-abraj and Al Argan Real Estate, among others.

The new exhibitors at BIPEX 2006 include Engel Voelkers, Silicon Gate and Sinclair Deville / Wings Media Ltd. from the United Kingdom, Tabarak Group from Egypt, Grip Realty Ltd. from South Africa and Malaysian Booths from Malaysia.

Exhibitors from the UAE include Al Hamra Village, Al Jabal Real Estate, Al Rafi Group, Aspire Real Estate, BMG Middle East Development, Landmark Properties, Safron Villas and Sherwoods.

The exhibitors at BIPEX 2006 from Bahrain include, Bahrain Financial Harbour Holding Company, Pegasus Realty - Abraj Al Lulu, Al Areen Holding Company, Al Argan Real Estate, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait, Beit Al Enma, Century 21, Deluxe Real Estate Company, Eskan Bank, Grnata Group, Gulf International Real Estate Company, Khaleej Finance Investments, Landmark Bahrain, Mouawad Management & Marketing, Municipal One Stop, Orchid Development, Platinum Properties Management, Real Capita, REEF, Riffa Views, Shura Net, Survey & Land Registration Bureau and Tameer - Al Khaleej Development.
