Etisalat has inked agreements with Batelco, Orange, Singtel, AT&T, and Savvis companies. Agreements aimed to enable corporate users to transmit voice and data applications between geographical locations using IP-VPN. Other agreements were announced with international majors such as Qualys for IT security, and Visa for mobile and Internet payments.
Etisalat also showcased mobile TV service which turns users mobile into real TV set. Other services demonstrated included Internet Protocol TV, and BlackBerry for individual users and small companies, allowing users to access various business and personal emails and important data while on the move.
Etisalat's solutions for people with special needs were well received by the exhibition visitors. Services such as video conferencing using sign language to communicate, teletypewriter devices connected to a landline and SMS that is converted into voice message or vice versa were especially tailor-made for people with hearing difficulties.
Ahmed Bin Ali, Manager Corporate Communications, Etisalat, said: 'We had a successful participation in GULFCOMMS 2006, and we used the platform to reach many customers, suppliers, partners and other visitors, as well as IT and telecom professionals from around the region and the world. Many of them expressed interest and appreciation for our range of service and solutions'

Etisalat concludes technology celebrations
'Celebrate Technology', Etisalat's theme for its participation in GULFCOMMS and GITEX 2006 brings three-dimensional representation of its brand to life - moving from a technology-focused to a customer-focused corporation. Services, solutions and partnerships announced and on display were all united in their core benefit of enabling individuals or group users to reach further.
