"This year every Jacky's shopper was a winner because of the hourly BenQ CD TV prize on offer, in addition to the 1001 BenQ digital cameras, the 1001 Nokia accessories that were being given away and the discount vouchers that were all a part of the GITEX promotion. There were 66 winners of the BenQ LCD TV, most of whom collected their prizes at Shoppers itself. The 1001 Digital Cameras also proved to be a great hit. The quality of the promotion and our experienced sales staff at Jacky's made all the difference between us and our competition," he said.
One of the main contributors to Jacky's sales gains is the fact that its stands were strategically located throughout GITEX Shopper; easy access points were created, enabling shoppers to reach Jacky's quickly. Moreover, with individual product stands created, shoppers had a wide product choice at a dedicated product stand, with a well-trained sales team on hand to assist with product information.
"The individual stands were certainly a huge draw and product segregation was appreciated by customers. Also, as we had identified prior to GITEX that laptops and mobile phones would be among the chief buys, we were appropriately equipped to meet shopper demands - and to encourage sales through variety and price.
"GITEX Shopper has always been a major contributor to our annual sales and are certainly very pleased with this year's results. It is always heartening at the end of a successful event to not only be able to applaud our sales achievements, but also to be able to re-affirm our links with our loyal customers and the general public, who trust the Jacky's name and choose to make their purchases with us,"
Mr. Panjabi said.
He added that there would be a more detailed analysis of Jacky's participation at GITEX Shopper '06, which would provide further direction for the company's retail strategies for the coming year.
