Briefing the journalists, Mr. Lootah said, "International business interest in the region is on a sharply rising trend and Dubai - as the region's most dynamic commercial centre is leading the way in attracting new companies from around the world to its free zones."
Mr. Lootah noted that as the leading industrial, commercial and trading centre in the Middle East, Dubai offers unrivalled attractions as a base for doing business in the prosperous and growing markets of one of the world's most rapidly developing regions.
The journalists remarked that they were to a great extent impressed with Dubai's tourism infrastructure and facilities and the high service standards.
Providing extensive information on Dubai to the international media forms part of the department's strategy to spread increased awareness of the emirate as a top class tourist destination and a leading regional business centre.
