- United Arab Emirates: Monday, September 16 - 2002 at 15:57
- PRESS RELEASE
A media delegation from Ukraine comprising senior editors and correspondents of leading mainline publications and two TV crews called on the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing's (DTCM) Deputy Director General, Hussain Ali Lootah yesterday, to gather information and quotes for articles about Dubai's tourism industry.
Mr. Lootah noted that as the leading industrial, commercial and trading centre in the Middle East, Dubai offers unrivalled attractions as a base for doing business in the prosperous and growing markets of one of the world's most rapidly developing regions.
The journalists remarked that they were to a great extent impressed with Dubai's tourism infrastructure and facilities and the high service standards.
Providing extensive information on Dubai to the international media forms part of the department's strategy to spread increased awareness of the emirate as a top class tourist destination and a leading regional business centre.
