The conference is organized by the college of law in Sharjah University in collaboration with the General Information Authority and the Judicial Studies and Training Institute. The aim of the conference is to increase awareness of cyber crimes, and the risks and consequences of the lack of IT security. It also provides an ideal platform for experts to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding IT security.
HH Sheikh Abdulla Bin Salim Al Qasimi, Director of Emiri Court of HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the conference. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdul Aziz Taryam, General Manager, Etisalat Northern Emirates Region.
