BIPEX 2006 attracts around 10,000 visitors; emerges as one of the largest property exhibitions in GCC

Heralding a significant development in the real estate sector, Bahrain Society for Engineers (BSE) today announced that the Bahrain International Property Exhibition 2006 (BIPEX 2006), held in association with Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Authority (BCEA), has emerged as one of the largest property exhibitions in the GCC attracting over 10,000 footfalls.

Commenting on the success of BIPEX 2006, Mr. Jameel Khalaf Al Alawi, Director of Conferences, BSE, said, 'This year, we put in a considerable amount of research and effort in attracting exhibitors from newer markets. The result was tremendous with exhibitors coming in from Kuwait, Lebanon, India, Malaysia, Egypt, UK, South Africa, Bulgaria, UAE and Bahrain.

Besides the overwhelming response to BIPEX 2006, one of the main exhibitors offered some winning opportunities for the visitors. Mr. Hassan Gholoum Hajji from Bahrain won £20,000 plot of land in the United Kingdom through a free draw / raffled entry presented by one of the exhibitors, Sinclair Deville from the UK.
BIPEX 2006 was held in its third year under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, Kingdom of Bahrain.

Key sponsors for the event included Al-Enma'a House, Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH), Riffa Views, Ithmaar Bank, al-abraj advertisement and Al Argan Real Estate, among others. The exhibitors at BIPEX 2006 included Top Real Estate Group from Kuwait, Delite Engineering from Kuwait, Carlisle Syntec from Lebanon, Gulfeuro Leasing from Bulgaria, Urban Woods from India, Engel Voelkers and Sinclair Deville / Wings Media Ltd. from the United Kingdom, Tabarak Group from Egypt, Grip Realty Ltd. from South Africa and Malaysian Booths from Malaysia.

Exhibitors from the UAE included Marvida Tower, Al Hamra Village, Al Jabal Real Estate, Al Rafi Group, Aspire Real Estate, BMG Middle East Development, Landmark Properties, Safron Villas, Silicon Gate and Sherwoods.

The exhibitors at BIPEX 2006 from Bahrain included, Bahrain Financial Harbour Holding Company, Advance Middle East, Tabreed, Bahrain Real Estate Association, Freshwater Estate (SPC), A.A.J. Holdings, Gulf Holding Company, Lulu Island, SYR- Consulting Engineering, Pegasus Realty - Abraj Al Lulu, Al Areen Holding Company, Al Argan Real Estate, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait, Beit Al Enma, Century 21, Deluxe Real Estate Company, Eskan Bank, Grnata Group, Gulf International Real Estate Company, Khaleej Finance Investments, Landmark Bahrain, Mouawad Management & Marketing, Municipal One Stop, Orchid Development, Platinum Properties Management, Real Capita, REEF, Riffa Views, Shura Net, Survey & Land Registration Bureau and Tameer - Al Khaleej Development.

This year BSE along with BCEA formalized an agreement with DSL Exhibitions to bring the Worldwide Property Show to Bahrain under the auspices of BIPEX 2006.

Spread over a total area of 5,000 sq. mt., BIPEX 2006 was held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from 22-25 November 2006. It was supported by the Ministry of Industries & Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the co-organizers for this edition of the exhibition included Kerala Engineers Forum (KEEN 4) and DSL Exhibitions.
