BJ Services Company appoints Business Development Manager for Middle East & Asia Pacific

In his new role, Fraser is responsible for the strategic marketing and business development of all services offered by BJ PPS throughout the region.

For the last several years Fraser has served as BJ's Country Manager in Algeria . Previously, he was Country Manager in Egypt. He joined BJ Services in 1996 when it acquired Nowsco, for whom he had worked for 10 years in a variety of business development, management and operational roles in Morocco, Egypt, Scotland, China and Canada. He launched his career in the petroleum industry in 1977 with Dowell Schlumberger.

"With Ian's 25 year career in the industry, he brings a wealth of experience to his new role as business development manager in the Middle East - Asia Pacific region," said John Adams, general manager of BJ PPS. "As so much of his experience was gained "on the ground" while working in a number of locations in various regions, it means that he is not only familiar with the many aspects of the technical and operational side of the pipeline and process business, but is perfectly positioned to build upon and create new client relationships in the region," he added.

A native of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Fraser, graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Fraser is based at the BJ PPS office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and reports to Charlie Topp, regional manager of the BJ PPS - Middle East Asia Pacific Region.
