Faculty training specialist speaks at Effat College

Effat College hosted training specialist Mrs. Adelide Davis on campus on November 23, 2006 for a workshop entitled When you are not Lecturing: Using Activities in the Classroom.

The workshop was organized in collaboration with Effat College and the Center for Teaching and Learning Development at King Abdul Aziz University. Eighteen faculty members from Effat College, the College of Business Administration, King Abdul Aziz University, and Um Al Qura University attended. Its aim was to help instructors to develop professionally by introducing them to new strategies for effectively motivating university students to learn.

Mrs. Davis is a training specialist at the University of Denver (Denver, Colorado, USA). She holds a Master's degree in Teaching Strategies and has twenty years of experience in training teachers and lecturers. She currently holds the position of professor in the International Research Center in the state of Colorado.
