The shirt had earlier been signed by players participating in the five-a-side football tournament including international legends of the game such as Christian Karembeu (France) Hussam Hassam (Egypt) Adnan Al Talyani (UAE) Ali Daei (Iran) and Bryan Robson (UK).

"It is a great honour for the UAE to host this event as it will help our players, clubs and everyone who loves the game to get a better understanding of all the different aspects of football. It is our duty to support the youth of the UAE as it is essential to help the aspiring talents to achieve their dreams. We are extremely grateful to Sepp Blatter for his personal support," said Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair.

The eighth FIFA president said: "Dubai is a fantastic venue for Soccerex and I am always delighted to be given the opportunity to visit this dynamic city. It's such a productive collaboration when the business community supports a huge sports event, where the best footballers gather under one roof, meet and interact with one another. This is definitely going to be one successful event."
