Etisalat sponsors Dubai International Film Festival

Etisalat has announced its sponsorship of the third Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), which will be held from 10th to 17th December 2006 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Director of Civil Aviation Authority, President of the Emirates Group, and Honorary Chairman, Dubai International Film Festival.

Etisalat's sponsorship marks another year that the Corporation is lending its backing to an event that assists in elevating the position of the Arab world in general and the UAE in particular. The festival showcases the cultural potential in the Middle East.

Etisalat continuously supports talent in the UAE. The Festival, which aims to bring the best of world cinema to Dubai as well as act as a showcase of Arab cinema to the world, has grown tremendously from its inaugural year, with an increase of more than 30 percent in the number of films alone.
