Great success for RAK FTZ in GITEX 2006

Scores of IT companies which took part and visited in this international exhibition have already completed their registration with the RAK FTZ following the successful promotional offers the zone has conducted during the exhibition.

Participating companies and visitors of the latest GITEX 2006 have been introduced to the state of the art services and facilities the RAK FTZ offers to its clients.

The RAK FTZ has actively taken part at the GITEX 2006 which concluded last Wednesday November 22nd at the Dubai World Trade Center. RAK FTZ considers the GITEX a brilliant chance to get the investors, business people and visitors introduced to the zone's tempting facilities. The zone has actively participated in the GITEX for the third consecutive year as the earlier participations proved to be successful.

Oussama El Omari, CEO for RAK FTZ said this year's participation in the latest GITEX was a part of the zone's strategy to take part in all the international conventions to attract foreign investments to Ras Al Khaimah. e added that GITEX is a unique fair and one of the key Middle Eastern annual functions which attracts companies and visitors from around the world.

As many as 1,347 telecommunications and IT companies from 76 countries have taken part at the GITEX 2006. He added that the RAK FTZ team has got the chance of direct contact under one roof with a big number of the international telecom and IT companies and visitors to introduce them to zone's services and facilities.

He stressed that the IT has ended up an essential element in today's business, and the RAK FTZ provides its clients with the world's best IT solutions as an added value to provide the zone's clients an ideal atmosphere to run all types of business and activities.

A number of the zone's registered companies including Equinox International FZE, Digit Copy FZE have also participated in GITEX 2006 for the third time; where the feedback the zone has received from them clearly indicated that their participations have come to real success.

RAK FTZ which is the fastest growing free trade zone has now more than 2,400 companies from 87 countries around the globe. Since the beginning of this year alone, it has registered more than 1,100 new companies in different fields.

The RAK FTZ gained international recognition for its continuous growth and development of its services, when the zone was presented with the "Best Emerging Free Zone of the Year Award" by the Middle East Logistics Awards- Mela 2006.
