Middle East Energy Oscars to have spectacular elements show

This year's Excellence In Energy awards - which have been expanded to include two new honours - will be presented on December 3 in front of an audience of around 1,000 regional industry leaders.

The awards are being staged alongside Gastech 2006 and the awards will host the Speakers Dinner of Gastech - one of the most high profile gas industry events - and follow record polling via entry forms in Reflex Publishing's flagship industry magazine Pipeline, via www.pipelinedubai.com and through the Gastech website www.gastech.co.uk.

For the first time the honours, which recognize companies and an individual that make significant contributions in promoting excellence in innovation, quality of work and delivery standards, will feature specific awards for 'Best Gas Company' - A special Gastech Sponsored Award and 'Clean Energy' Sponsored by Abu Dhabi Future Energies Company.

"Expansion of the awards mirrors developments within the industry and will continue to do so," added Michael.

This year's Excellence In Energy Awards are the sixth in the annual series and are being hosted by Abu Dhabi's ADNOC Group and sponsored by industry heavyweights Dophin Energy and Schlumberger.

The Excellence in Energy Awards are held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
