Visa International launches first ever ticket sales facility across the UAE
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, September 19 - 2002 at 16:03
- PRESS RELEASE
Visa ticketline, the new way to pay for top class concerts and events in the UAE, is marking its launch by offering tickets to Deep Purple and Blue.
The toll-free phone facility, which is the first of its kind to be launched by Visa worldwide, aims to provide cardholders with easy access to the country's vibrant entertainment sector.
"Through Visa ticketline, we are giving our cardholders more choice and a more convenient way to pay for tickets. As a brand that takes you places, Visa is offering its customers the chance to enjoy the best entertainment and events in the country - and it is just a phone call away," explained Premal Patel, Head of Marketing, Visa Middle East.
The new Visa ticketline is open to cardholders throughout the UAE. By phoning the toll-free ticketline number on 800-4311, callers can book tickets using their Visa card, arrange to pick them up or have them couriered to a chosen address and find out about forthcoming events.
"Convenience and safety are our watch words and the Visa ticketline will mean that callers from Riqqa Street to Ras Al Khaimah can book tickets with the world's most preferred and trusted payment method. And in addition to the ticket delivery service, VISA ticketline booths will be introduced in prime locations across the country for ticket collection," commented Patel.
Demand to see Deep Purple, who will be appearing at The Aviation Club on September 22nd and Blue, who are set to appear at Airport Expo on September 26th, has been stimulated by the ease of access to obtain tickets. Both events are organized by Mirage Promotions.
A dedicated call centre has been created to handle all calls, questions and transactions. Recognising the benefits of this facility, many other upcoming events are slated to be sold through Visa ticketline including Rohit Bal, India's top designer, the Jazz Majlis, The Laughter Factory and Placido Domingo, the internationally acclaimed Tenor.
"We will also be introducing some great incentives for people who use Visa ticketline. These will consist of prizes, competitions and great giveaways linked to the specific artists or events that will take place. We have big plans for the Visa ticketline and, in time, Visa cardholders will be given the chance to book for all manner of events and services. The service will provide opportunities for Visa cardholders to get even more value from their trusted financial companion" he concluded.
Gaurav Sinha, CEO of Prima Facie Marketing, which manages the call centre facility said, "The toll-free number offers yet another source solution for Visa cardholders and provides an innovative service in line with ticket sales facilities seen operating in other major cities around the world. Dubai can now be added to that list."
