Cirque du Soleil announces presence at Emirates Today Ideal Home Show 2006

'This exhibition is the 'ideal' platform for us to showcase Quidam™, our first show in the region, presented by The Palm, because it attracts a discerning, sophisticated audience, who belong to a demographic profile comprising a range of age-groups and nationalities. Plasma screens, surrounded by a large Quidam backdrop and cut-outs of the main characters, will be found at the stand, showcasing a wide variety of highlights from the show. The Quidam (Latin word for an anonymous passerby) character will also be present, interacting with visitors, and will gladly pose for photographs with children and adults alike. There will also be leaflet distribution and volunteers on hand to provide visitors with any information that they might looking for about the Dubai season of Quidam.

An exhibition for the home-savvy, The Emirates Today Ideal Home Show is designed to answer all home needs, from buying property to wall paints to kitchen and garden ideas. Scheduled to perform live demonstrations at the show are world-famous celebrities including renowned chef Ainsley Harriot and famed interior designer Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen.

Quidam (pronounced 'key-dam') will be performed in Cirque du Soleil's 2,500 seat air-conditioned Grand Chapiteau (big top), located on the grounds of Ibn Battuta Mall, from January 4, 2007. This remarkable show features 56 performers from 14 different countries in a unique blend of acrobatics, dance, and dramatic performance. The two-and-a-half hour show features world-class lighting, live music and an amazing array of costumes and special production effects.
