"We realized that there was a niche market that wasn't being targeted. Under the initiatives of HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and his full-fledged support, Falcon Aviation Services was created. We are aiming to grow our modern fleet of helicopters, and other aircraft types to satisfy the ever changing requirements of the region's growing number of passengers," said Captain Salem Al Kayoumi, Chairman, FAS.
Presently, the FAS fleet, an investment of over USD$69 million, consists of 8 helicopters with 1 new Gulfstream 450 corporate jet set for delivery in 2008. The current fleet of helicopters is used for various roles such as Corporate shuttles, tourism, SAR and VIP charter. FAS have 4 helicopters dedicated for Search and SAR services, with on board medical attendants provided by the UAE Armed Forces. In addition, FAS has employed a number of former UAE Armed Forces staff to provide additional support to the SAR Operations.
Their commercial helicopters fleet has an average age of less than 2 years and offer a diverse range of performance and comfort levels to satisfy every customer's need and demand.
"We are committed to delivering the highest level of aviation services which we hope will establish a benchmark standard in terms of high end quality and premium customer service," added Capt. Al-Kayoumi.
FAS differentiates itself in that their aircraft are unique, reliable and efficient allowing a significant gap in the market to be catered for. With this new venture, FAS has foreseen a number of significant opportunities that they are more than willing to take advantage of in the near future. "With the market evolving the way it is now, fleet expansion and internal growth are already on our agenda, as a direct result of the market demands in terms of capability, capacity and price," concluded Capt.
