This may be due to the lack of laws, systems and legislations in the region that encourage firms to spend money on supporting research and projects.

Sheikh Saleh Al- Sorayai, Chairman of SNASCO said, "The philosophy or culture of a firm plays an important role in sponsoring and supporting projects. In this region, notions of sponsorship are developing slowly, even though there are many opportunities for firms to play pivotal roles in cultural and social development. These opportunities not only improve the qualifications of people within the firm, but also improve the company's overall economic performance and lift consumer spending.

"In our region, we find that most shares holders and founders' concentration depends on the company's profit. This places all administrations under high pressure, in order not to spend money outside publicity and advertisements, which are included within the firm's plans to promote and increase sales to increase profit after some time... Meanwhile, a small amount is dedicated for supporting projects that aim to develop society, in which we are in need for."

Sheikh Saleh Al-Sorayai also proposed that concerned authorities may grant firms and foundations with special awards, motivations and incentives to be spent on supporting and developing society to raise education levels, improve medical services and encourage all Arab minds to invent and create. This would ensure the Arabic nation to return to their world leading standards in the areas of education, sciences, medicine, and creation.
