Jordan to showcase ICT capabilities at Gitex 2002

The Information Technology Association - Jordan (int@j) is set to showcase the Kingdom's leading technology providers at its stand at GITEX 2002.

Nine of Jordan's leading information and communications technology (ICT) organizations will be exhibiting their solutions and services to the host of regional and international visitor's at this year's event.

The int@j pavilion will include the following Jordanian technology and communications organizations: Eskadenia Software Solutions, Estarta Solutions, int@j, Integrated Technology Group, Jordan Telecom, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT), OFFTEC, Tantash Information Systems Group (TIS Group), and WAMAD IT Services Co.

"The int@j pavilion at GITEX 2002 showcases the Kingdom's most advanced technology companies while offering regional and international visitors with clear insight on Jordan's current product and services capabilities," said Marwan Juma, Chairman of int@j. "Jordanian companies today provide turn-key solutions to some of the world's biggest organizations and our participation at GITEX 2002 enables us to demonstrate this capability."

Int@j, the Information Technology Association of Jordan, is directly responsible for overseeing the creation, promotion and growth of a vibrant technology sector that will be a key investment driver for businesses looking to take advantage of the Kingdom's unique free trade opportunities.

Jordan is currently positioned as a leading investment location for the region; its entrance into the WTO and the FTA, its fee zone development program, as well as the major developments in its ICT sector - communications, infrastructure, & legislative reforms - make the Kingdom a strategic partner for organizations looking to trade with the global community.
"Jordan's ICT sector is going through a dynamic process of development that is led by the national ICT development initiative which will see further reform and growth in technology development and services," said Ra'ed Bilbessi, CEO of int@j. The Int@j pavilion at Gitex 2002 is located in Hall 8 stand G8-1.
