On this occasion Mr. Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat, Chairman of Mena Telecom and General Manager of Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain) said "We are pleased that the telecom market continues to open up in the Kingdom of Bahrain and we have submitted a bid for the National Fixed Wireless Services License for Mena Telecom.
Mr. Al Khayyat continued "In Mena Telecom, as an investment subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain), our aim is to develop the company into a major player in the telecom sector in Bahrain and the region, and we are pleased with the progress and achievement of Mena Telecom throughout 2006."
Representing Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain), Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Mena Telecom said "In the event we win one of the two licenses offered by the TRA, Mena Telecom is fully committed to introduce the latest innovative technology available in the world, and we will select a world market leader in the supply of Fixed Wireless Services. Mena Telecom with the support of Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain) will be one of the major telecom providers in Bahrain market and the region.
We now offer total telecommunications solutions to the market which include international fixed line services (carrier pre-select services), two way satellite services, broadband applications, international calling cards and calls termination for international telecommunications carriers. We will continue to invest in our network to ensure that we achieve the aim of providing our customers with high quality and reliability, as well as value for money and services based on innovation and state of the art technology solutions."
