Mr. Jeff Ambjorn, Middle East Director of the HKTDC said: 'The UAE constitutes Hong Kong's largest export market in the Middle East. As the region's major trading hub, Dubai presents our trade missions with a great opportunity to further tap the market for stylish upmarket branded products. 'Style Hong Kong in Dubai' will create greater awareness of the territory's products among regional consumers and help to distinguish its products from the mass merchandise of Asian low-cost suppliers, reinforcing Hong Kong's image as an international marketplace and Asia's sourcing centre.'
'Style Hong Kong in Dubai' will bring over 230 exhibitors to Dubai who will display a wide range of high quality lifestyle products reflecting Hong Kong's cosmopolitan tastes in six product zones including electronics and IT products, gifts and premiums, home/interior furnishings & hotel supplies, household products, jewellery and watches & fashion accessories. For the first time, the fair will also feature a special zone on construction materials.
As part of its objective of promoting trade between the UAE, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, the HKTDC will organise 'Hong Kong Delights', a gala evening on December 17 at Dubai's Grand Hyatt Hotel, to provide a relaxed environment for business leaders, traders and buyers to network with each other and forge ties.
'Style Hong Kong in Dubai' will reach a target audience of 21,000 potential importers, re-exporters and traders in addition to the more than 15,000 buyers drawn from the UAE, GCC, Egypt, Levant and the Indian Subcontinent, expected at the concurrent Dubai International Autumn Trade Fair, a major multiple trade event showcasing general consumer products in the region.
This year 'Style Hong Kong in Dubai' will also offer visitors free one-on-one business consultations pertaining to investment procedures, business law, tax issues, domestic sales, customs declaration, product inspection, trade marks and patents and the advantages that Hong Kong offers to companies in the Middle East who are interested in doing business with China.
