This follows a number of recent public relations business wins, including Burgan Bank (Memac Ogilvy already manages advertising for Burgan Bank) and Royal Wings Aviation Services to name a few. In addition, the public relations market in Kuwait is predicted to double next year, ahead of the anticipated growth in the rest of the MENA region. This has prompted several new investment appointments at the end of 2006. The present team, comprising Rami Ikbal, Business Development Director and Abdul-Kader Al Samadi, Senior Public Relations Executive, has been further strengthened through the following who have recently come on board: firstly, Nabil Touma who joins as Managing Director, bringing over a decade of brand management expertise for MNCs in the KSA market; secondly, Chaitan Jain, who joins as Senior Public Relations Manager bringing with him specialist public affairs knowledge; and lastly, Angelique Bhattacharjie-Jeremiah, who joins as Senior Public Relations Executive, bringing with her media relations expertise.

Memac Ogilvy Public Relations' Regional PR Director, Ken Allsopp, comments: "We are seeing strong public relations growth in Kuwait and are committed to invest to meet the demand for high-quality services in 2007 and beyond. Memac Ogilvy offers both consultancy advising and agency implementation to clients in a wide range of communications markets. Increasingly, we are also finding that clients in Kuwait wish to use our regional MENA network of PR offices to improve their awareness and business effectiveness internationally. We are seeing particularly strong growth in financial, corporate and healthcare practice areas, with a number of further new business wins to be announced once contracts are signed by the end of the year.

Memac Ogilvy's Chief Operating Officer, Roger Hawa, adds: "The last 12 months have seen Memac Ogilvy Public Relations Kuwait execute a number of unparalleled PR activities including the largest internal communications program to date in Kuwait for Kuwait Oil Company and the launch of the first budget airline in Kuwait and the Middle East, Jazeera Airways. And with the new team on board, we plan to do a lot more.
