J. Ray McDermott awarded contract by Maersk

J. Ray McDermott, S.A. (J. Ray) announces the award of a contract by Maersk Oil Qatar to engineer, procure, construct, and install two wellhead decks for the Block 5 Field Development Plan 2005 project.

"Through an EPCI project customers benefit from optimum planning and scheduling, with all services managed and carried out in-house, providing a host of advantages to all parties," said Hafez Aghili, J. Ray's senior vice president Middle East and India. "We are pleased to be associated with this key field development project for Qatar's expanding oil and gas market."

The two decks have a combined weight in excess of 4,800MT and will be designed at J. Ray's Houston engineering office as well as at its regional headquarters in Jebel Ali, Dubai, where the structures will be fabricated in 2007 and installed by J. Ray's marine crews offshore Qatar in 2008.
