Middle East Electricity, the region's premier lighting event, is set for massive growth in 2007

Among the many high profile lighting companies already confirmed for the 2007 event are industrial lighting experts Galva Coat, whose specialist area is the production and galvanisation of lighting poles to ensure high resistance to corrosion and the harsh environments that are typical of the region and Saudi Arabia-based Al-Babtain Power & Telecommunication Co., which has more than 50 years experience in the field of outdoor lighting.

Exhibitor feedback is crucial to building an event as successful as Lighting at Middle East Electricity. Typical of the comments received from exhibitors at the 2006 show, Eng. Nestor Turro, Export Manager of Efapel, Portugal said 'We returned to Portugal highly satisfied and with a lot of contacts and immediate business with companies from the Middle East region, and we really expect to increase our volume of business and participation in these countries.'

Ibrahim Hafiz, General Manager of Saudi based Al Raed Al Arabi Factory which specialises in the manufacture of various types of fluorescent lighting units, said 'This is our first time at Middle East Electricity. We had visitors from 32 countries in one day and over 400 visitors to our stand. We are very happy with the show and definitely coming back again in 2007.'

Abdul Aziz H. Al Alaiwi, Deputy General Manager of Saudi-Arabia-based Nardeen Lighting Co., which supplies major international brands of light fittings, was also highly positive about the event. 'The show was very encouraging with lots of potential for us - there were many quality visitors including engineers, consultants and designers, plus many distributors wanting to work with us. We have already booked again for 2007.'
