"Tabreed is delighted to support Cityscape 2002, as the aim of the conference reflects Tabreed's own goals of supporting and encouraging the economic development of Dubai," said Jamal Al Jarwan, Dubai Area Manager, Tabreed.

Established in 1998, Tabreed is the only company in the UAE to offer district cooling facilities. It has more than 132,000 refrigerating tonnes under contract in schemes across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain, and is expanding its business to neighbouring countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.

"The district cooling concept has been well received by UAE landlords and tenants. It is not only environmentally friendly and energy saving, with better temperature control and noise reduction, but it is also hassle, maintenance and risk free," said Al Jarwan.

"We foresee that Tabreed's uptrend demand will continue to accelerate; the company is heading steadily to become the world's largest provider in the district cooling sector in the near future."

Cityscape 2002 and its associated conference, the 4th International Property Investment and Management Conference (IPIC) will take place at the Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai, from December 14-17.

"Tabreed is at the cutting edge of delivering a sustainable development solution to the challenge posed by the region's harsh climate. Its sponsorship underlines the show's role in helping to lay down a 'green' blue print for the region's future cities," said Chris Hudson, Project Manager, IIR.

Cityscape 2002 and IPIC, officially supported by the Dubai Development and Investment Authority, will focus on critical issues facing developers as they strive to cope with the Middle East's rapidly rising population and the demand for more housing and infrastructure.

The exhibition and conference will bring together globally renowned property investment and development experts and world class real estate designers and architects from the US, Europe, Middle East and Australasia.

"Cityscape 2002 and IPIC will provide a platform for industry professionals to focus on the importance of creating the right environment for the long term goal of attracting international property development to the region. They will also be a forum for discussing best practice and innovative construction techniques," said Hudson.
