Behrooz Boorang, MacGREGOR's sales manager for the Middle East, said, 'We maintain the high MacGREGOR-quality standard in all the repair work performed in China.'

One of the Middle East office's major customers is the Iranian shipowner Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) based in Tehran. The work carried out in China from this company's docking alone is close to US$2 million.

'In China, MacGREGOR is capable of carrying out major repair and modernisation contracts on hatch covers and cranes,' Mr Boorang said. 'We also have access to the most critical spare parts for the fast, effective and successful completion of such repair projects.'
