- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, December 06 - 2006 at 13:46
- PRESS RELEASE
The organisers of ENVIRONMENT 2007, the MENA region's leading environment trade show and conference announced today that the event has received strong support from leading companies who have confirmed their sponsorship of the event.
The ENVIRONMENT 2007 Exhibition and Conference will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, 28th - 31st January 2007 at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition & Conference Centre. The event is organised by Reed Exhibitions - Middle East and the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi.
Acknowledging the contribution of the sponsors, Frederic Theux, President of Reed Exhibitions - Middle East said, "We are very encouraged by this move by leading local and international companies to sponsor ENVIRONMENT 2007. We believe this is a strong incentive to other leading businesses and institutions to actively associate with the event, thereby giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the environment and to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)."
"Aldar is delighted to be a sponsor of the ENVIRONMENT 2007 Exhibition & Conference. The event provides an excellent opportunity for us to better understand how Aldar can strike an even greater balance between development and the environment," said Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of Aldar Properties PJSC, commenting on his company's involvement with the event.
Noting that Aldar's philosophy regarding the environment meshed with the Abu Dhabi government's own priorities, Al Sayegh stated that the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, former UAE president and ruler of Abu Dhabi, had left behind a legacy of environmentalism.
The ENVIRONMENT 2007 conference to be held in parallel with the exhibition will focus on "Renewable Energy in the Arid Region". While the conference will feature over 50 speakers discussing their experiences and views on renewable energy, the exhibition will feature more than 300 exhibitors showcasing the latest developments in areas such as Management of Water, Land, Air, Energy & Waste, Environmental Research, Science & Technology, Environment Friendly Transportation, as well as related areas like Environmental Finance, Legal Consulting, etc.
