Daman opens its new branch in Al Ain

In its continuous efforts to extend its services over the largest geographical segment and in line with its strategy to expand its overall accessibility, Daman, the National Health Insurance Company, has announced the opening of its fully fledged service branch in Al Ain City.
Commenting on the opening of the new branch, Dr Michael Bitzer, Daman CEO, said: "Daman's mission has been to ease the lives of people by adopting various measures driven by the needs of its members. We are undergoing a major expansion plan that enables to provide accessibility and comfort to our clients. By opening this centre, we are assuring the people of Al Ain that they can expect the highest standards of service, without having to travel to get their health insurance products."
The new branch is located near the New Clock Intersection in Al Ain at the Al Ain Post Office Building and is operational from Sunday till Thursday from 8 am until 4 pm. The office will be initially staffed by 20 employees directed by Mr. Ahmed Eid Al Neyadi, Branch Manager, and is fully equipped to deliver a wide range of plans and health insurance services. The city of Al Ain City is witnessing major economic development. The population of Al Ain have reached counts in excess of 300,000 people and as elsewhere in the UAE, the expatriate residents make up a majority of the population. In addition, the city is currently gaining popularity for its traditional museums, and cultural tourist spots, in addition to the renowned health care facilities available to the residents.
"We believe that it is our responsibility to constantly improve our services, even to the remote parts of the Emirate. To keep pace with the growing member list, we have plans to open more such branches in different parts of the Emirate, keeping in mind the various needs of each area. The Al Ain branch will be the first of four other branches that the company is aiming to open in the next 3 months and will house fully operational departments offering the broad base of Daman product policies, and member services." commented Axel Tettenborn, Chief Operating Officer at Daman

The National Health Insurance Company - Daman, was established following the issuance of Decree No. 39-2005 by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as a public joint stock company providing health insurance services in September 2005. Daman is the first and largest UAE-based public company specializing in the health insurance sector in the Emirates.
Shortly after its formation, Daman signed a partnership agreement with Munich Re due to its extensive experience in health insurance exceeding 125 years, hence naming it the strategic partner responsible for the establishment and operation of Daman.
Daman provides health insurance coverage to all expatriates working and residing in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is the exclusive provider of health insurance services for employees in the public sector in Abu Dhabi.
