During the press conference announcing the sponsorship, Ahmed Bin Ali, Manager Corporate Communications, Etisalat, said: 'Etisalat's decision to sponsor this event once again shows our commitment towards the society within which we operate. Etisalat is always keen to be associated with any event that promotes the UAE in a positive light internationally.'
Team Emirates is a major contender in this world championship. The team was crowned champions in the years 2000 and 2004.
Etisalat once again main sponsor of Formula 1 Powerboat Championship
Etisalat has signed on as main sponsor of Formula 1 Powerboat World Championships, which will be held in Abu Dhabi on 8th December 2006.
