- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, December 07 - 2006 at 07:49
The death toll from road traffic accidents in Dubai dropped by 42% in November, according to the Gulf News. The latest Roads and Transport Authority figures reveal there were 19 deaths last month, compared to 33 in October. The RTA put the drop down to the government's recent crackdown on road safety. On average, there was a fatality every 38 hours in Dubai, compared to one every 22 hours in October.
